Page Text Purex was about to launch a huge television ad campaign and wanted to create a mini-site where viewers could come and request a free product sample. In addition to address verification and web-based reporting, we also baked in the ability to conduct optional surveys. During that promotion, Purex ran ten different surveys, collecting information on everything from “where do you usually shop?” to “which tag line do you like better?” and “how do you sort laundry and what temperature do you typically use?”
Of the more than 1.5 million people who came to the site to request a sample, 250,000 of them voluntarily took the surveys, giving Purex a virtual treasure trove of customer research.
The TryPurex site was a huge success and is serving as a model for future promotions.
