We were thrilled when Seagate came to us to help them name their cool new subsidiary. This new company produces Lidar technology with integration capabilities for automotive, industrial automation, and smart cities.

Our approach was to take them through a series of branding workshops to:

  • Help their team establish shared goals so that everyone is on the same page
  • Help our team understand their values and why they do what they do
  • Set a framework that would guide every decision of the project and beyond

Together, we developed the name AXIO Lidar to effectively represent the company’s values, culture, and purpose.

The Logo

AXIO Lidar’s logo was designed to be simple yet reflective (pun intended) of what the company does. The line that cuts across the logo ends in a single point at the end, to represent Lidar technology—light reflected at range through lasers.

AXIO Lidar’s color scheme also plays into Seagate’s heritage with the use of a green and cyan gradient.
