Explainer Video Example | Qorvo 5G

5G Edutainment

5th generation wireless isn’t just a single technology, but rather a combination of technologies. 5G combines Millimeter-wave, MIMO, small mesh networks, and adaptive beamforming technologies that provide significantly increased bandwidth and reduced latency.

Qorvo is a $3B semiconductor company that specializes in the design and manufacture of RF technology components that enable wireless communication. 5G is complex, and Qorvo wanted to create educational materials that helped explain this enterprise technology.

For this project, the Qorvo team asked us to create a humorous, attention-grabbing, and entertaining animation style that would captivate the viewer while we explained 5G technology. They asked for a unique and “ownable” animation style that could be used for multiple videos.

The project included:

Script writing
Creating a unique video “style”
Storyboarding
Voice over recording
Music Selection and licensing
2D animation

Our Process

Communication Goal

Good video production starts with defining, in plain terms, what you want the viewer to learn and or to do.

Scriptwriting

Armed with the communication goals, our writing team will create a script that tells the story with a clear build of ideas. This script helps determine run-time and cost.

Storyboarding

After the script is approved, we’ll create a detailed storyboard that clearly defines the visuals that will appear on the screen. For Live shoots, this includes a detailed shot list.

Production

After the storyboard is approved we’ll shoot live-action scenes or create the art assets used in an animated video. We’ll combine a voice-over and music as needed.

Publication

Lastly, we’ll work with you to publish the video on the targeted platforms. In most cases, we recommended including closed captions.
