This is an incredible example of how a properly organized website can significantly reduce a company’s costs almost overnight. When Eye-Fi asked Zooka to re-do the website for their Support Center, we completely re-built it with new information architecture, how –to guides, clearly labeled tabs, screen captures, illustrations and super-easy walk-thru guides.
As soon as the site launched, calls to the Support Line dropped 30%. In fact, the drop was so dramatic, that the company initially thought that there was a problem with the call center’s phone lines or that sales had dropped off. But the sales were the same and the phone lines were working normally.
Zooka made it so easy for customers to find and understand the information that they needed that they didn’t have to call in. And because we included a Quick Link on very page, when a customer does need to call in, the support staff is able to provide a shortcut to the online guide rather than walking them through in over the phone.
Thanks to that 30% drop in calls, the ROI on the project was a mere 45 days.
